Of course it works! Most guys my age, I feel, appreciate it. Because for the most part we’re the ones doing all the asking out, which isn’t necessarily easy. You have to worry too much about coming off as ‘creepy’ and then have the fear of rejection in your heart so maybe you just sit there inhaling whiskey and cokes in the corner until maybe you can stand up and walk over there and say something nice or clever or witty or just muddled enough by the music to not be considered a ‘line’ but fuck it no way man I’m just gonna sit here and play Cheap Trick on the juke until I black out! Wait, what was I saying? So you’re sitting there and THEN a girl comes up to you and makes a move? Helllooooo nurse!
I’m not saying to go overboard and send the dude flowers on the daily. But initiating flirting or making first contact, especially if the dude already seems interested, is totally fined and most times preferred (though we know it’s mostly up to us).
In summation: Get it on like you want, girl.
