I held my tongue for the most part when it came to writing about Lana del Rey over the past several months. Primarily because, well, I didn’t really care too much. She’s a very pretty girl with some OK music and all of my other feelings about any so-called controversy surrounding her can not be expressed better than her ‘appearance’ on Weekend Update. The only thing that I still find interesting about the whole exciting arena (aside from sex dreams and Foo-Fighter-video-esque nightmares) is the throng of weird-dude ‘music fans’ who have spent countless, creepy hours recording cover versions of ‘Video Games’ and posting them on YouTube.  I am addicted to being uncomfortable. After my roommate showed me a handful of particularly embarrassing covers I obviously did what any normal person would do and decided to watch one hundred more. Like most people, I find the community of active bro YouTube users/commenters horrifyingly sad and fascinating (I think about Licorice daily). So meet the Dude del Raiders I found interesting on my ‘journey’ (journey of ‘there’s nothing on TV until The Bachelor…’). sad eyes, sad eyes, spongebob cool hat, parental advisory bro. i hope the drums need a violin player bro. sean lennon + alan del rey bro. young mike skinner/ian curtis bro. patrick, are you hurting inside?
